Abstract
The CREST syndrome, first reported by winterbauer, represents a benign varient of progressive systemic sclrosis and consists of calcionsis (G), Reaynaud's phenomenon (R), esophageal dysmotility (E), sclerodactyly (S), telangiectasia (T).
We experienced one case of CREST syndrome confirmed by clinical, pathological findings and anti-centromere antiboty.
The anti-centromere antibody has known to be highly selective for the CREST varient of progressive systemic sclerosis. Therefore, the diagnostic significance of centromere immunofluorescent pattern is now generally accepted. (J Kor Fam Med 1992 ;
